Title: Audio Precision Portable 1+ issue
Post by: jsantoro on December 15, 2018, 05:56:18 pm
AP portable 1+Fails self test on 7.0a and 7.1b, residual noise test for L+R respectively.
Limit is 1 uV and it's showing 3uV. I remember reading somewhere that this is caused by stray noise or environmental but I just can't recall. Thinking of taking a chance and purchasing but it appears service manuals are scarce. V1.0 firmware also.
Anyone familiar with this model? Opinions?
Thanks,
Jim

Hi jsantoro,

I have the same unit  :)
Be shure you place the unit in a clean EMC spot, say a table 1 a 2 meter around no other equipment and test again.

Kind regards,
Bram

Check the spectrum of the noise to get an idea

Hello,

Happy new year (even if it's a bit late...).

I'm trying to fix an AP portable one +. I think some resistors network are dead, but I can't read the reference on them, does anybody who has an AP Portable can help me by opening the analyzer and see the references of the four resistors networks numbered on the attached image ?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Regards

Emmanuel
