830 clones powered by 2*AAA batteries: main IC?

Does anyone know the type of the main IC used in 830-like cheap meters, but 3 V powered? It's clearly similar to 7106, but all 7106 clones known to me require 9..12 V, not 3 V.

MAX138??? It's too expensive for these el-cheapo meters.
