These seem pretty much equal from a functional point of view. I'd buy the cheapest one. I have a couple of VC8145s myself and they still work great after several years. |

Thanks. I see quite a bit of info on the VC8145 on the web, but almost nothing on the Victor 8245. Not even photos, other than the one full-frontal on Amazon. |

I was looking for a budget bench MM recently and landed on the VC8145 because of the good value on it. I had a budget for around 150$ and all others had similar specs with higher price and it was not that far from a real brand meter. So what I really did was choose between the VC8145 and a known brand meter. And for my purposes I don't need a known brand. |

The Victor web site only shows 220V power compatibility for the Victor 8245. |
