Title: Beware of cheap Kelvin clips
Post by: NaxFM on May 14, 2022, 10:41:29 pm
I needed a pair of 4 wire Kelvin clips to use with my 6,5 digit multimeter.
Nothing fancy, so I opted for those cheap Chinese clips you find everywhere on aliexpress.
I knew that the quality with unknown brands was questionable, so I bought them from the official Uni-T store, since I have a Uni-T UT61E and I love it.

Today the clips arrived, togheter with a receipt with my name and the Uni-T branding.
Well, they don't work...
They totally neglected to connect both Low terminals to the clips. The cables are coaxial and as you can see on the picture only the core is soldered to one side of the clips, the shielding is just cut and with a shrink wrap applied...
I knew I wouldn't have received something similar to Pomona 250$ clips, but still, coming from a big brand like UNI-T I expected at least they were assembled properly...
Anyway, I asked a refund and the clips are already fixed and working, this was just a little rant to tell you to not expect a working product when you order this type of clips...
