Hey guys, long time lurker of the forums, and watcher of Dave lol. So I've got a nice looking BK Oscilloscope from Ebay on the way, and as you do, I was looking for the manual online. No such luck. In fact I can't even find anything about the 1500. Anyone have any tips for finding a service manual for the old analog scopes? I know the scope is going to need a calibration, but without the the manual, I'm just going to be randomly turning pots, and that never ends well.

bkmanuals.com has an instruction manual and a parts list/schematic listed for sale. http://www.bkmanuals.com/1401-1500.htm (http://www.bkmanuals.com/1401-1500.htm) I've never bought from the site, but might be worth emailing to ask if there are sevice instructions in either. Dave

I think that link is for the purchase of hard copy manuals.
Try this one:

Thanks! :D They were able to send me the calibration materials, which is honestly all I need at the moment. I may grab the printed manual from bkmanuals.com Seems like the BK scopes are harder to get the manuals etc. for. Hitachi ones are all over the internet.

In pdf or paper?
If BK will send Owners/Users and Service, get them all. It adds value to your CRO in the long term if you have all the manuals.

PDF. Just the calibration section as that was all I could get. They directed me to bkmanuals.com for the manual etc. Quick response from them too. At least considering I sent the e-mail about 4am and got a reply by 12.
