Black Friday sales - Logic Analyzers

I'm looking for a new Logic Analyzer on a budget ($50-$200). I'm thinking there may be some great Black Friday sales. I currently have a Analog Discovery 2, a 1bitquared Bitmagic and a cheapo 16-channel. Any suggestions?

Why do you want another example of a tool you already have?

Would it be better to spend your money on a tool that can do something new? A protocol analyser springs to mind, i.e. something that triggers/captures/ignores/analyses messages rather than bits.

There WaveForms app and the hardware, Discovery 2 or 3 is just great. I would get the 3 and sell the v2.

It was yesterday's promotion as part of their Cyber Week sale that has a different promotion for each day. 40% off all AD3 SKUs, including bundles. I picked up the Pro bundle for $245 delivered (from $409 MSRP). You had to sign-up for their SMS to get the daily promotions.

For those considering doing business with Digilent:  Currently, after you’ve purchased your hardware (AD3), it seems you'll be required to sign up for an account with them to be able to download the software necessary to be able to use it.  Signing up for an account requires that you accept and be legally bound by their policies.

This is different than Rigol, Siglent, R&S, Nikon, _even_ Keysight, and most other major TE companies I know of, who allow anyone, customer or not, to freely download any required software to operate their products.

None of that concerns me. I already had a Digilent account. In the world I live in, I have literally hundreds of online accounts for things like that. They're not that unusual in that regard. Maybe in the TM space, but certainly not in the IT space.

you can use the direct download link for the latest version of waveforms without having to create an account. they put the links on their forum.

and about customer support, i think digilent is unmatched in that area, they not only reply, usually within the same day of posting, but they take customer suggestions and bug reports and fix them, depending on the complexity of the suggestion/bug, and the time and day in which you posted ( faster response if you posted before fridays), they will ha vea new waveforms beta with the fix/suggestion implemented within the day in some cases and within a few days in most. so i would say the account is worth the minor inconveniences
