| BM550 automotive battery tester |

Recently I bought a cheap (~20 USD) automotive battery tester from Alixpress. The model number is BM550. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003477765500.html You set the voltage and the CCA of the battery and it returns Status Of Heath (SOH) %, Status Of Charge (SOC) %, Internal Resistance in mOhm and CCA. The overall construction seems to be OK. Nice soft cables and strong clamps. The viewing angle of the screen is terrible though. It uses 4-wire method for the measurements. It doesn;t seem to measure the internal resistance using the AC method though. It just uses 100 mA current pulses (measured with a 1 mV/10 mA current clamp). I don;t have another quality tool to double check it. It uses a China made mcu. Synwit SWM181CBT6-50. And another laser etched chip (just an amplifier?).
