Found this lovely unit recently, looks like it is a switchable band pass filter covering the audio range. Anyone any idea what it would have been used for? It looks like it can be controlled remotely and will drive some sort of recorder. Maybe for testing amplifiers in R&D or production?

Yes, wonderful, unfortunately like all B&K stuff it is pretty useless.
No manuals.
Signal connections unlike anything you have ever found anywhere else.
Miserable design so you can't even get inside to tap onto the signals and use a different connector.
After buying a pile of audio B&K equipment most ended up on the scrap pile, simply not worth the effort of trying to use or fix. Possibly someone at B&K might read this and put the manuals on line, but I doubt it, they seem to be the sort of company to hold everything to themselves.
You can guess I am not impressed!
