Title: brymen bm525s logging ??
Post by: picclock on May 15, 2022, 10:20:15 am
I've recently purchased from Welectron (thanks J-R  ;)), a Brymen 525S, with the usb dongle for readout to pc of stored data.

Great meter but ..

Although I can upload the meter Data, and save it, it's in a propriety .slr format.
Does anyone know of a format conversion tool, say .slr to .csv ??

Cant even copy and paste from the screen  :-\

Best Regards

I don't have this exact model, but is perhaps what you're looking for under the Export button instead of Save?

@J-R
I'm an idiot, and your spot on correct. The export button/menu item sorts it all, allowing csv data, and graphical bmp's.
I suspect brain fade .. .  ???

Clicking the data import button on the Graphical Recorder, which then opens a new window with the Data Logger, on which I have to click data import again to get it displayed (Logger icons have no help text), seems a bit naff, like its been bolted on as an afterthought.

Despite this minor idiosyncrasy, its a very impressive meter, and the ability to log things in such a portable way is incredibly useful.

Thanks for your assistance

Best Regards

It's not you, the software is a bit rough!

I see HKJ's Test Controller software supports the BM525s, not sure about downloading the logged data.  Might be worth checking into.
