Hi Eevblog forum I have the Brymen BM869s and just got the Bs86x cable and software. However when I try to connect the multimeter to my pc (trying to link the multimeter in the Bs86x Data Logging System Express software) I get the error code E9015 and states: USB adapter cable not found. I am running windows 10 and the the cable comes up in my driver settings as: Superior DMM, and if you go into the driver it says that it both is a USB-input device and a HID device. Have any one tried this before or know what I am doing wrong? Please say if you need more information Kind regards |

I will give this a try tomorrow with my cable and bm869s. Used it once before and did not experience any issue then, but it is too long ago to remember exactly how it looked like when the connection was ok. |

Buvikingen, just in the last couple weeks got the BU-86X cable & software kit for my Brymen BM869S. It downloaded and works beautifully on my Windows 10 system. Do you have the meter on and measuring anything while trying the software? Also, in the last couple of days have discovered a program by fellow forum member HJK. His open source logging program works with many DMMs. It works on my BM869S and Fluke 189, although it sometimes acts strange for me, but it may be something on my end. Look in the 'Test Equipment' section for an entry titled 'Program for many multimeters', or something like that, (sorry I didn't get the link to post here). (when I went to post this reply I got a message that others are telling you the same, and MikeLud got that link for you. I was going to delete my reply, but I already typed it out. Let us know what you discover.) |

You may be missing the Brymen specific driver. If you haven't already, try getting the zip file for "BUA2303-DriverInstaller-Win10-8-7" on the website: http://brymen.com/product-html/Download1.html By chance, I recently tried various things like selecting "Superior DMM" drivers from the list while trying to get Sigrok to work with this DMM, but it didn't work and wasn't needed (also stopped the Brymen logging software from connecting either). The Brymen-supplied drivers should be fine. With my working setup, the physical Brymen adapter gets added in Device Manager as "USB Input Device" when I plug it in to any port and I do not need to manually select a driver from the list. I did have to undo my mistakes by removing the wrong driver from each USB port where I incorrectly selected a specific driver. --- Quote from: MikeLud on May 05, 2020, 08:50:22 pm ---buvikingen, You can try the below software my Brymen BM869s works well with it. https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/program-that-can-log-from-many-multimeters/ --- End quote --- That software looks interesting! I'll try it out too -- the Brymen data logging software has truly horrible UI! |
