Just a thought, but I would seriously contact some multimeter companies.
Maybe you will have some luck and a company sees something in it or just likes to sponsor disabled people/charity.

Maybe Dave can pick it up and ask Brymen.
I think it would even benefit a company, pretty good advertisement.
