Budget Signal Generator for aligning AM and FM radio and what else do i need
(1/1)
RiRaRi:
Hello. What is good but cheap option for signal generator for aligning FM and AM radio? As far as i can see tinySA which is spectrum analizer has signal generator option and it cost about 60 dollars. Also what else do i need for aligning radios, boombox etc?
Sorry, i am newbie. Hope this is okay topic.
tautech:
For FM you might need 120 MHz.
A tweaked SDG2042X will do that.
DaneLaw:
Yes, the TinySA's got a dedicated signal generator for both its two SMA -sockets "low and high".
"Low signal out" will do from 0 to 350Mhz and RF-output levels from -76dBm to -7dBm alongside AM & FM modulation with adj. modulation freq.
"High signal out" will do from 240Mhz to 960MHz and RF-output levels from -38 to +9dBm with some FM modulation with adj. modulation freq.
TinySA is a potent little self-contained signal generator in its price segment.
TinySA Ultra will also do these things but with a wider frequency span up to 5.4GHz and also got "sweep", though TinySA-Ultra output dBm-values vary from -17.9dBm to -123dBm.
The available RF-power (dBm) can to a certain extent vary depending on the frequency.
RiRaRi:
Thats good to hear. Is there any other good option beside tiny SA?
