Just curious how often people buy the DMM series Bussmann fuses and if there’s been a large price increase recently.
I know there’s people on eBay that sel them, but I prefer to deal with bigger companies in the hope of avoiding counterfeit fuses.
I was piecing together a digikey order and was nearly at the free shipping amount, looking at my spare fuse box I realized I didn’t have any DMM-B-44/100 fuses for the fluke 289, so I thought I’d chuck one on the order to bump me over free shipping.
$52.98 each WTF
So I check other sources
Rs $27.454 (but have to buy a minimum of 5)
Element 14 $53.06
Mouser $53.36
Arrow US$34.45
Most of those are plus the 10% GST too.
I’m pretty sure I paid about $15 each for them last time from a Bussmann distributor (about 3 years ago maximum)
I can see why people chance it buying a $10 ebay one in the hope it might be genuine and not give troubles.
Anyone else found this pricing recently?

They're selling you a box of 10 except for RS who do them in packs of 5.
-
I was hoping it was, but I didn’t see any mention of a box qty. it was all described as each, individual or qty:1
More than happy to pay $55 for a box of 5 or 10, but because the photos are of a single fuse and there’s no mention of a box, I don’t want to be caught out with no leg to stand on.

Dave still has the fuse bundles (https://www.eevblog.com/product/multimeter-fuse-pack/) for half that price.
-
Good price, except they don’t come anywhere near the size of the 400mA Bussmann

Let Digikey know about the listing ambiguity. There should be a "report an error" button right on the listing page. They've been pretty responsive (and thankful) the couple of times I've reported something to them that didn't seem right.

You can get it from Welectron (Germany) including shipping for 1 piece to Australia for 12,88 EUR (but you may pay customs on top).

Try searching by Fluke part number instead of the Bussmann designation.
440mA: Fluke 943121 (https://www.digikey.com/products/en?keywords=Fluke%20943121)
11A: Fluke 803293 (https://www.digikey.com/products/en?keywords=fluke%20803293)

Wow, thanks for that ModemHead. I really didn’t think the pricing would go down that much (if anything I expected the fluke part number to be more expensive, brand tax....)
I submitted a error to digikey and told them I can get that part from the Australian distributor for $16 retail with no trade account needed.
The fluke part will get me over my free shipping limit without spending stupid money for a spare fuse. Many thanks.

That listing has always been a mystery to me. I have no idea what you actually get if you order the Bussmann part number. The description seems to imply that it's only one cartridge at a ridiculous price. :-//

I lodged a “error” with the digikey website and got this reply
Thank you for your feedback. The cost is accurate as we as an electronics distributor and are at a disadvantage with the Electrical distributors as Eaton protects both distributor categories differently. Yet we can cross sell the product. We have had many conversation over this but have not come to an agreement on the price differential.
Just to let you know, that this does not follow the same rule for all other Digi-Key products or other products from Eaton.
I replied and asked about the fluke fuses, because I can see them from digikey.com, but not the .com.au so they might’ve region locked and not allowed to sell to me here in Aus :(
