Title: Buy a DS2072 in AU to bring back to the US

I may be visiting AU in a couple of weeks and have been looking at the price of the Rigol DS2071 in AU compared to the US.   Cheapest place I've seen for the DS2072 is on eBay direct from China for  $1190 US dollars (free shipping).

But in AU I see it's only $839 AU $, which is roughly $755 US $.   I believe the GST is either not payable or will be refunded for export.

Has anyone done this?

You can get a DS2072 (not sure if they have them in stock) for $839 -6% at tequipment.com ($788.66)...

Thanks alank2.   I see tequipment.net has them for $839 - is that the same place?  How do I get the additional 6% off?

Yeah, it's tequipment.net. That's where I ordered my DS2072 from.

I wish I would've known something about -6% before I ordered the DS2072 and the DG4062!

All I did was start a chat with them and ask for it and they sent me a quote with the discount on it.  Good luck!
