Always worth trying an email to TTi tech support for old Black Star, Thandar, Thurlby stuff.

Got my 4503 service manual that way.

"any calibration information on my" is ambiguous.

I guess you mean "how can I adjust it", but it might mean "how can I calibrate it" or "what is my instrument's calibration" or conceivably "what's the specification".

Given that there isn't much you can tweak on a frequency meter, I'd
  • make sure the power supplies are correct and don't have a lot of ripple
  • locate the crystal and the trimcap next to it
  • fiddle with the trimcap until the display shows the result you want

What's your reference frequency source?
There are lies, damned lies, statistics - and ADC/DAC specs.

Reference is a GPS DO.

I am looking to fit an OCXO and external input for an 10MHz frequency standard so I have a counter I can see and even better rely on.

I have the user manual and am looking for the accompanying service / calibration manual.  Cant find one from the usual resellers or online.

Thanks.

And that's a good example of why this is useful:
"Tell us your problem/goal, as well your solution. In most walks of life, technical or non-technical, if we know the reason for the question you will probably get a better answer. Either the answer will be more pertinent to your needs, or perhaps it can suggest a better alternative that you haven’t even considered. Don’t ask “Can you give me a lift into town?” Do ask “Can you give me a lift into town, so I can replace my broken frobnitz?”. The answer might be “There’s a spare frobnitz in the attic”, thus saving time, money, the environment – as well as making some space in the attic."
Other hints available :)

Apart from that, is it worth the effort? Doing what you are suggesting is perfectly fine entertainment, but there are many good counters on fleabay or at other auctions such as https://www.bidspotter.co.uk/en-gb/auction-catalogues/timed/ramco/catalogue-id-ramco-10236?searchTerm=frequency&whereToSearch=%2Fen-gb%2Fauction-catalogues%2Ftimed%2Framco%2Fcatalogue-id-ramco-10236 There are no guarantees with the latter, of course, but they ship for £18.

Personally I'd be looking at a reciprocal counter for most purposes.
