Title: Can anyone identify this adapter?
Post by: Tony_G on July 12, 2018, 07:26:46 am
Hey All,

I just saw this and I'm wondering if anyone actually knows what the adapter is for:

I have no idea what this is for so any help appreciated.

Thanks,

Feed through terminator perhaps?
Should be ~50-75 \$\Omega\$ between the casing and the pin if it is.

Interesting what's located in the outer annulus...

It looks like it is a component holder for perhaps a 1N21 microwave diode.

Here's one. A crystal detector.

Thanks all - I think Arthur's suggestion that it is a 1N21 Crystal Diode Cartridge Holder is the most likely - I have several of the HP Crystal Detectors but I've never actually taken one apart to see what is inside them.

Thanks again for the help.
