So I'm working on some Meridian audio equipment (highly glorified PC architecture) with a bad power supply. I need simultaneous +/-12VDC, 5VDC, and Common. Staring at my DP832, I dimly remembered something untoward about sense/power lines tied to ground so I got skittish about tying reds to blacks to greens. Instead, I went into the parts bin and pulled out an old Dell ATX supply from a long-gone PC. There was my +/-12, 5, common easy-peasy (yellow, blue, red, black). Voila!
So did I dodge a bullet with the DP832, miss a section in a manual somewhere, or need to do Electronics 101 all over again at the local CC? Thanks for any and all responses.
