Can a Siglent SA such as the SSA3032X+ demodulate GFSK signals? or can it only do FSK? |
| bicycleguy:
The Modulation Analyzer does have a Gauss filter selection under the FSK filter type. I have nothing to stimulate it with. BlueTooth is spread spectrum GFSK I think. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will give more info. |
| chrisb741:
What is the implication of spread spectrum? Im mainly interested in cheap 2.4ghz modules that uses GFSK such as nrf24l01 and other basic off the shelf modules such as zigbee Is it possible to distinguish between unknown modulation types? Are there any the can read GFSK, the expensive ones dont even seem to? |

Hi There Chris We are Siglent Distributors but new to them as we've always carried Rigol products. I saw your question and asked Siglent for you. Please see response below: _________________________________ The Siglent SSA3X Plus, SSA3000X-R, SVA1X, SHA850A, SSA5A can do MA option. And hence GFSK as well but its extra option licence. _______________________________________ I didn't see the second part of your question so didn't ask that. Have you tried going back to the company that sold the unit to you? They should answer these questions for you or atleast give you details of the application engineer at Siglent to help with this? I hope that helps. Warm wishes for a fantastic Christmas! I dont have an SA yet, to me that sounds like it can do the G versions of the modulations, just needs a license. I also just realized that I can use transceivers with supported modulation types if GFSK doesnt work |
