Title: Can the Rigol 4000 series be moded like the DS2072?
Post by: dewey on October 12, 2014, 09:46:05 am
Hi

Can the Rigol 4000 series be "firmware modified" like the DS2072 can?  I find I really like the 2072 a lot, but I wish I had 4 channels, since I plan on doing 3 phase motor driver work.  I'm guessing the DS4014 would be the scope to use if I wanted the low end of the 4-channel Rigol line.  Can that unit be tricked into thinking it's a DS4054?

-Thanks

Yes it can, plenty of info in the Rigol i2c bus thread.
