Title: Can't Get RS232 Working With UNI-T UT61E
Post by: KennyPowers55 on December 30, 2016, 01:53:51 am
I received a new UT61E and I am unable to get the serial connection to work. I am aware it may be my RS232 to USB adapter, but I noticed my optical to serial adapter only has one sensor on the meter end, where as all the pictures I see there should be two "dots" (transmitter and receiver I presume). Can anyone confirm that the meter end of the serial cable should have two "dots"?

This is my first post. I bought this meter after google brought me here and I did some reading up. Please go easy on me. Thanks.

It only has 1 "dot". The cable only reads data from the meter.

Most likely it's the USB-RS232 adapter.
