In case anyone is interested, I attached a file showing the capacitor measurements between a Sencore LC101, DE-5000 and an Agilent 4263B.

The capacitors are from an ARCO kit of capacitor standards.  All caps are rated for .1%
This is just a quick comparison and nothing super scientific.  :-+

Nice capacitor kit, where does one find such a quality kit?

Good agreement on all 3 LCR meters :-+

I found this kit on ebay years ago.  The wooden box the caps came in was falling apart and the foam on the inside was disintegrating.  Luckily, the caps themselves were still in good shape.

Wow that's from way back, seems they are using "mmF" or micro-micro-farad for pF ::)

Looks to be Bakelite encased, likely with Silver Mica capacitors?

At 1khz, all LCR meters I tested were very close.
Only at 10khz and above it gets interesting. ;)

Best,

Actually, Arco quoted small values in mfd, e.g. 0.0001 mfd, in their description on that advertisement.
Back then, we called mmf "mickey-mikes".
I believe Arco specialized in silver mica capacitors.

The DE-5000 really does a great job especially considering the Agilent will cost you a arm & a leg.

The Sencore is okay.  The resolution is a little lacking & I have no idea what frequency is being used.
