Changing out a Tektronix 7000 Plug-in Pull Tag

I'm trying to remove a pull tag from a plug-in that is out of order so I can use the pull tag in another plug-in that is working (I think) but is missing the pull tag. 

The pull tag head (with the Tektronix 7XXX number on it) seems to be connected to the horizontal nylon piece (that connects to the spring that attaches to the bottom of the plug-in) with a small metal part - it looks like it is just pressure fit into the cylindrical hole and could be pushed out of the top or bottom of the hole with a small tool - which would then release the pull tag head from the horizontal nylon piece - and allow the whole thing to be removed from the plug-in. 

Before I mung it up trying this approach I thought I'd check with more experienced plug-in owners.
