Hello.
I need a cheap sound level meter to make some environmental tests. I want to register the sound level values, so chosen device should have data logging function - at least via USB port.
I've found two devices that are appealing:

There is small visible difference between them - one is supplied from 4 AA batteries, the second one uses 9V battery.
Both are at price range below 30USD. I don't want to spend more than 40 USD. Free shipping welcome :)
Does anyone has experience with the pointed devices (is one superior to the other) or can point me to the other options.

Edit: it looks that 9v version uses some weird usb cable with on chip to do usb-serial conversion.
