Title: CMS52 Rohde Schwarz external reference
Post by: ct2iok on June 19, 2022, 09:06:26 am
I have a CMS52 device, and I wanted to link an external reference of 10MHz, this device has no input on the back panel to inject this reference, where can I connect this 10MHz reference and what level (dBm) should I put

The equipment has 3 vertical lines on the display, does anyone know how to fix this?
Best Regards

Plenty of clues about where to connect an external reference in the service manual here:

http://eww.ko4bb.com/manuals/81.141.36.151/Rohde_Schwarz_CMS_52_Radiocommunication_Service_Monitor_Service_Manual.pdf (http://eww.ko4bb.com/manuals/81.141.36.151/Rohde_Schwarz_CMS_52_Radiocommunication_Service_Monitor_Service_Manual.pdf)

As for the LCD, good luck, it may be as simple as cleaning up a zebra strip but I doubt it on a panel that size.

Thank you very much, I appreciate your contribution

After taking a quick look at the service manual, I find an indication on page 342 and 369 referring to the X501 which is indicated as a reference, but I don't know if it will also be input, or just output.
