LCR Meter: Extech LCR200 vs BK Precision 879B
« on: May 13, 2013, 09:19:08 pm »
I want to buy an LCR meter that is capable of measuring ESR, and these are the two models I'm considering.  I would probably go for the BK Precision 879B over the Extech LCR200 except for one thing.  The extech will measure ESR at 100kHz while the BK only goes up to 10KHz.  I read that 100kHz is the standard frequency that ESR is typically measured at, but I'm not really sure how important that is.   Can someone give me some guidance on this?

Thanks in advance,
M.S.
