[Solved] Siglent 1000X-HD - SMB Share not working
« on: April 04, 2024, 07:54:17 pm »
Hello everyone.
I've finally gotten my Siglent 1204X-HD, and I am trying to set up the SMB directory linking it to my Synology NAS. No luck so far, and all I'm getting is an error message "Mount directory Error, please check your parameters".

I've set up an SMB user for the scope, and the share works just fine from my PC.
My best guess is that the format needs to be something different from the //server/share suggested by the manual. Has anyone gotten this to work and can provide a hint?

Solved. Right format is \\server\share - backslash instead of slash.

Hi,

You may need to adjust the SMB level of your Synology nas so that it also supports SMB-1.
In terms of security, that is not a good option, but you can at least try it for a while to see if you can then access the Synology share.

Kind regards,
Bram
