Title: Definitions of ampere, volt and ohm are subjected to change.
Post by: technix on November 16, 2018, 06:26:28 am
The definition of volt will be changed by about 100ppb and ohm a few tens ppb, due to overhauls of definition of kg and ampere.

Will this invalidate ALL calibrations on any equipment with 7.5 digits or more accuracy like the HP 34470A?
What about 6.5 digit equipment like HP 34461A/34401A?
What about the 4.5 digit jobs like Fluke 87V and Uni-T UT61E?

it should be pretty straightforward to issue a firmware update that can use existing cal data.
