DSO Recommendation

I repair automotive control units as a hobby, and I am looking to upgrade my TPS2024B. I am looking for a modern 4ch DSO for under $2k USD that can be used to capture CAN Bus ,LIN Bus and Flex ray signals of the control unit interfaces as well as capture signals of the embedded side, MCU I/O, etc..

What's out there that's up to the task?

The first, most obvious point is that there isn't anything in your price range that is going to have the unique isolation characteristics of your TPS2024B.  I have a TPS 2024 and still use it regularly, so in any case I'd suggest you not throw it out.  Or if you do, please let us know the location of your dumpster!

If the isolation isn't an issue, then the Siglent 2104X Plus is $1399 and there is a sale right now on an analysis bundle that has a 16-channel logic probe and all of the decoding options included for $266.  This is what I have, and if you haven't used modern DSOs like this the increase in capabilities over your TPS will be mind-blowing.  However, it will require some learning and adapting as well as tolerating the occasional bug.

I'd take a look at Micsig's ATO series as these have some specific features for automotive use.

what about a PicoScope 4425A?

it has "floating" inputs (+/- 30V against each other Ground pin) which should be plenty for most 12/24 V systems.
