Title: DG2052 Whether and how to update firmware

My DG2052 has firmware 00.02.05.00.00.
I  found file FW_DG2000_00.02.06.01.zip on RigolNA.
Is it desirable to upgrade to this?
How do you do it?

Even though 02.06.00.01 contains some interesting new features, it at least in case of the DG800/900 has a serieous bug in that it doesn't permit proper selection of most of the built-in arbitrary waveforms. If that's relevant for you and if this bug is also present in the DG2000 varieties of the AWG is unknown to me. For the time being, I'ld recommend to stay on 02.05.00.00 and wait for an update by Rigol (whenever that may be...). Anyway, you may try the new firmware and revert to the previous one if you don't like it.

I don't have the option of going back to the current version, because I have not found that file.
I have only the one file (02.06.01) of unknown effect.
Also, I don't know how to apply any file because the install instructions are not valid for the DG2052.
I have looked around but found nothing applicable.

OK, I have verified that it is for DG2000, so likely the firmware currently installed.  Thanks again.
The install instructions are still useless because they don't apply to the DG2052.

I'ld assume that you'll need to press the "Arb" key during bootup in order to invoke the bootloader on the DG2000. This key is located at the same physical position as the "Help" key on the DG800/900 AWGs. I may be mistaken, though. Anyway, trying wouldn't hurt I guess ;)

There is no "Arb" key either (DG2052).
The  instructions say to touch the "..." on the display.
That isn't there either.

My mistake.  There is an "Arb" key.
It doesn't do anything relevant though.

You've got to press the key (you may try several different ones...) just after power has been applied to the AWG and while the initial splash screen is being displayed. Neither on my "pimped" DG800 the dots are displayed, there's a progress bar while booting instead. I've got to press the help key before this progress bar gets shown in order to enter bootloader mode. If no USB flash drive is attached, the bootloader will ask to insert one, so you can experiment with how to enter the bootloader without actually flashing a new code.
