I see the above-titled message on the scope AND the web client. I've restarted powered-down, etc. I just plugged it in about 12 hours ago, and have just changed the settings to load the last setup on startup (using the PLA2216 logic analyzer that comes with 20 leads and grabbers, and not the 32 advertised and included in the very brief user manual). I have found 3 or 4 bugs in the GUI. BUT this is a show-stopper!
Anyone know how to get out of this? It's sort-of bricked as far as the DSO functionality. Android still seems to be working- along with the web-server.

I had the same problem. Just keep pressing the default button when powering up and it will reset the default. To avoid this problem, make sure you turn off the LA before powering down. There are a number of software issues with using the LA. I have not been able to get the labeling to work right with the LA and the SPI decoding doesn't appear to work with the LA probes. The LA probes appear to actually work in reading digital signals but that's about it.

I don't know why people buy the DHO900. No one here really recommends it.

I just now got the 1.02.02 firmware update. It fixes a number of issues with the LA probe and also apparently fixes your problem with rebooting. I don't think it's on the website yet but I got it from the tech support guy helping me.

It's on the website:

RIGOL actually sent this update (1.02) to me earlier today. Now, I have a new problem: The PLA2216 isn't detected on powerup. I have to re-plug it. Analog channel 1 always comes up live even though it isn't connected. BUT: my scope hasn't crashed.
This thing has great potential, but the buggy software makes it unreliable.
RIGOL: You should've fluted the ribbon cable end of the LA connector that plugs into the scope instead of tapering it.

That is a bit disconcerting. Don't the instructions explicitly say that the logic probe must not be hot-plugged?
-
yep, the instructions explicitly state that the PLA is not hot-pluggable.

Seriously ? That is annoying...
-
Yep, it's in the user manual. In boldface, complete with a "CAUTION!" headline and a yellow/black warning sign.
-
How is that possible, in this day and age, and in an Android machine... :palm:
Rigol USB-handling legacy continues...

Yes, maybe I have Rigol-mortis. (sorry, sorry)

Also when powered-on, I see the message "LA detected". Then when I tap to configure it, it tells me it isn't detected.
