Digitech QM1548 fried
« on: July 28, 2021, 07:23:11 am »
A colleague damaged his DMM by putting the new 9V block battery the wrong way. These DMM's don't have a clip, which would make it obvious, but two springs as for AA's. So the input cap blew, I replaced that, but it's still dead in the water. Does anyone have the schematics for it or know whether reverse polarity kills the uC for good?

A bit poor though that a $50 Jaycar meter has no polarity protection and not a proper 9V clip!?

Maybe this post should go under "repair"?
