The original Tek AFG3000 series of function generators have a pretty lousy LCD screen in them. It's a shame really because these are pretty nice function generators. I was wondering if anyone had any experience replacing the screen with something better? Or alternatively a good source for drop in replacement LCD screens?
Edit: I've learned that the LCD is a Kyocera KCS057QV1AJ-G39 and I've ordered one from eBay. Same crappy screen as currently in there but hopefully at least with a backlight that is still good. We'll see how it goes.
Does anyone have any tips for fixing the rubber membrane keypad that is starting to go bad? A good clean of the pads with alcohol?
