I am making my own 4-Wire sets. I have the correct type Kelvin connectors with the separate jaw connections.
I see that some OEM sets have the wires separated, one going to each handle of the clip. See Top Right Corner.

Others have the wires remain in a pair with one wire looping through the clip's joint to go to the other side. For this type set, the leads are of two different lengths. See Blue Arrow.

Keeping the pairs together and entering on only one handle would be more convenient. But, I wonder if the difference in the wire lengths effects accuracy. What do you think?

The whole point of Kelvin clips is that the point of common contact is AT the DUT - not some distance along a common conductor. The ones that have a separate connection to each side of the jaws are doing this properly. Whether they enter separately or along one side is not really important - just that they only meet at the DUT.

Thanks, Brumbly, good info.

From my research, I thought that it would not matter, but it is always better to ask those little questions that nag at you...

I knew that this point is important and that is why I stated that I have proper Kelvin clips.
I appreciate your help.

The only other thing is to use nice flexible wire as the bend radius is quite tight near the hinge. Also check that the ends of the spring are well insulated - sometimes you find that the sharp ends can wear through the insulating sheet and make contact with the contact metal, if it looks dodgy then some sleeving on the spring ends will help.
I do agree that the style with both wires going into the same handle are ergonomically nicer though.
