DL24 Atorch type electronic loads: considerations on how to choose the best mosf
Hamelec:
I changed the FET to a Fairchild FDH44N50 because the SOA is specified for DC !

LinuxHata:
I have a bit simpler electronic load - one with LM324 and 4 MOSFETS. So I installed high power IGBTs into it, since I had them lying around - IRG4PF50WD, removed from old on-line UPS.
Tested at various conditions, with peak powers going to 400W (Mostly on HV, like 200V 2A). On the lower end I never went above 10A, but voltage was about 42 volts.
It survived all these conditions without any issues...
Graupe:
hi does anyone have the layout of the logic of the board i cheaply water cooled my dl24 cause it blew alot of transistors because i was using it alot and nearly Always at 600w. i stupidly didnt make it 100% leak proof so some water got on the board and fried an transistor. because i needet to check some batterypacks i desoldert the broken transistor and still used it. here i realized later that i made a masive mistake because i didnt put the jumper to the lower setting so the current wasnt split properly. after the main transistor blew i just didnt bother until the replacements came in i soldert them in and it worked for 5min until some resistors burnt down i replaced the resistors and transistors but it blew again after 5min i think the logic is only sending the power to one transistor. i wantet to just buy the board but this version isnt avalible to buy anymore. and due too my water cooling the new version wouldnt work with it anymore. did someone have something familiar am i just stupid (yes) please help i dont want to waste money or an probably still good board
