DMM other than Flukes that chirp on diode/transistor test?
jayjr1105:
Anyone know of any other meters that chirp/beep while testing a good diode? Maybe small but I find this to be almost an essential feature. Looking around the $100 mark.
Wytnucls:
Uni-t UT161E
Open circuit voltage: About 3V
For normal diodes, the buzzer will beep once.
For short circuit, the buzzer will beep for a long time.

The 12 dollar Habotest will do it too.

At first I thought you were crazy, I have a 61E and it doesn't do this. Then I noticed you said 161E. Thanks for the recommendation. Do you think the new UT61B+ will support that as well? It's just a 6000 count vs 22000

How about the upper end Habotest? Would prefer autoranging.
