Here is a picture of TS DMM Viewer running on a Win 11 Thinkpad logging my Tek DMM4050 aka Fluke 8846A. Software supports many DMMs and runs beautifully. Both the analog meter (upper left) or graph can be toggled to full screen, and fonts can be selected.

That's sweet!  Can't wait for my Thinkpad.  It's only TFT not IPS display but for the price it should be good enough.  I didn't know the T450 Thinkpads came with IPS option when i bought this TFT one yesterday.  What model is your Thinkpad?  Ya know I didn't know how popular thinkpads were when I bought it. I just thought it looked nice and looked like it was probably well built.  Then I found out how popular they are after I bought it.. right up there with the macbook I guess.

Are you sure? Maybe they don't provide binaries, but surely building from source should work? You can probably also install it through Homebrew.

If the seller hasn't shipped your Thinkpad, you can always request a cancellation and look for another one with an IPS screen.

Thinkpads have always been built to exceedingly high engineering and ergonomic standards, including passing MIL-spec endurance tests and complying with worldwide ergonomic standards/best practices. In addition, nearly every replaceable part on every Thinkpad ever made can be found on the used market and IBM / Lenovo publishes service manuals for most of them so they can be repaired step-by-step in the field - something IBM started doing in the early 80's. I am a little biased as I worked at IBM for nearly 19 years and even did a tour in the PC division development labs. if you tinker, the Thinkpad / Windows ecosystem is much less frustrating and cost effective.

The Thinkpad in the picture is a X61 Tablet circa 2007 which I owned since new. Still working well despite its 1.7GHz processor and SATA I interface.

Just out of curiosity. If I use this GDM-8251A say once per day or every other day, does it make sense to just leave it on 24/7 and just press the  ON/OFF momentary button to turn only the display off?  Or is it better to power it up and have it boot each time?  Just wondering which would be less wear and tear on it.
