I saw this earlier and I was wondering the same.
Looks like they've re-purposed some kind of media player case for it.

Has to be the only financial way it would make sense, the product is incredibly niche. How many people are screwing around with measuring/testing their quadcopter motors in the field?
If it were cheaper, it might be a competitor to daves usupply. They could probably get away with just the small OLED screen for showing voltage/current/power.
The LED lit banana jacks are a nice touch.

Eesh, $300(AU) for a Chinese power supply. I was expecting $50 when I clicked the link. No way of knowing the quality of the batteries or anything else inside it.
I'll wait for the hopefully sub-$500 DaveSupply instead. :D

You can power china dc-dc converter with ordinary powerbank for about $50
I guess hum is not terrible

That's what I was thinking. Buck-boost with like 3 18650s in series (or parallel, depending on how the balancing v.s. efficiency calculations work out).

It's not battery operated. It needs an external power supply or PC.
I just got sent one today to review, but it's honestly quite an odd product.
