I recently acquired a Prema 6048 integrating meter which was chucked out at work. As far as I can tell everything seems to be working except the current measurement. Despite the intact fuse I the input seems to be open circuit when I should be seeing the shunt. I’ve found the manual quite confusing and aren’t totally confident that I am actually getting the device into current mode however so I’m not sure if it’s a case of button wear / faulty control stopping the relays actuating / me not pressing the right button combinations.
Basically I’m trying to find out the *correct* behaviour to put the device into current measuring more for DC and AC which I can only do for sure by comparing it to a working device.
I believe the following should work for DC current mode:
Press 2000mA button
Press Ratio 2nd button
Press mAdc button
In my case nothing happens in doing this unless I hold the Ratio 2nd button, then the display changes to what might be current measuring mode with the Ratio 2nd button lighting up.
I can’t get the Radio 2nd button to light up AND the mAac buttons to both light up simultaneously at all so this leads me to believe the control system might not be working properly but without a reference device I don’t know for sure..
If anyone with a 6047/6048 could tell me the exact stages and lights that come on for measuring DC and AC current for your device it would be hugely appreciated!

Shouldn't you press TEMP/2nd ?
