I recently purchased a Hantek DSO2D15. I like it but it has something strange going on.
Set the probe on 10X. Set the scope on 10X. Connect to any voltage source – I used the probe compensation source. Set the trigger to half the voltage – or use the auto-set. Now adjust the volts per division. Does the trigger drop? Adjust again and the trigger drops to 0.
Here is a quick video. Watch the trigger voltage at the top right of the display.

I contacted Hantek and he said “That's how this oscilloscope is designed. The trigger level value changes with the voltage gear; but the range of the trigger icon is only within the screen. “
What I don’t understand is this only happens in 10X mode. It seems to work fine in 1X.
Is there something wrong with MY scope? Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong?
It seems a hassle to keep adjusting the trigger setting.
The seller has agreed to refund my purchase but I really like this scope.
Thank you for your time.

Please don't make new threads, use this one for discussion:

But yes, trigger works badly below 500mv(10x Mode) / 50mv(1x Mode)

Excuse me, members are free to start new threads as they see fit.
Yes, plainly a bug.

Sure, let's make dozens of threads for the same device, fragmenting everything and making it harder to (re)search. .. :-+
As if this forum wasn't huge already.

Sorry, I didn’t mean to start a conflict. I’m new here.
Have you guys tried this on your DSO2D15? Do you get the same results?
I’m sure it’s a bug but is it only on my scope?
I have firmware number 3202.
Thanks

No problem! I think I wasn't rude or anything?
I just requested to post in that thread, because that's where everyone is posting their issues and there's also a lot to read.
As far as I know, there're barely any differences.
The only differences are the wave gen parts, some "C" models have them (Can be converted to "D"), others doesn't.
Of course, all "D" models do have them. And that's very much it the differences we know at hardware level.
I've tested all firmware versions, none fixed the sync in lower voltage modes.
Such a shame.

I received a firmware update from Hantek. It made no difference with the 10X trigger problem.
Again I’m asking for someone with a DSO2D15 to please check your oscilloscope to see if you have the same problem. I’m just not sure if the problem is with my scope or if it’s a problem with all these models.
Thank you.

After thoroughly analysing your video, the problem seems clear: You used Autoset, and the trigger was very in the botom limit.
Setting the trigger a little lower should have synced it properly.

Thanks David
Do you have a DSO2D15? Have you tried setting the trigger in 10X?
I’ve tried setting the trigger manually and with autoset. No matter where I set the trigger (high or low) as soon as I adjust the volts per division the trigger drops.
I’d like to find someone with a DSO2D15 that can verify if this problem is just on my scope or is this typical on all these scopes.

Mine is a 2D10.

I've been in contact with the seller and Hantek. They sent me a software update the other day. It did not resolve the trigger problem.
They sent me another update yesterday. I'm glad to announce the problem is now fixed.
Hantek may be a little slow but they did come through.
Thanks to all that has helped.

I am glad that you followed the advice I gave you in a PM and contacted Hantek support, and that they finally fixed your problem.
Please upload the latest firmware update you received from Hantek to David Alfa's repository (see his signature for the link) so it can be shared with the community.
And I entirely agree with David that it is better to stick to the original thread about these Hantek DSOs and not scatter the information all over a dozen separate threads.
