as the title implies, I am hesitant to buy Siglent sds1104x-e so I didn't make up my mind yet, but do I have to buy a license for wifi connectivity in sds1104x-e as it seems some features need a license to be bought like function generator functionality and is this oscilloscope worth the price or is there anything in the same price range that's considered to be looked at?

  • TEAS is real.
Whether you pay for all of the "options" or search threads to make those "improvements" another way is up to you.

The SDS1104X-E needs license keys to enable WIFI, AGW control and MSO functionality.  However, all these licensee key can be acquired cost free.

Search for the thread(s) on hacking the SDS1104X-E.

Welcome to the forum.

Technically yes, however most just hack it using the online script however if you are reluctant to there is another solution we have been discussing to provide WiFi connectivity for SDS2000X Plus which could also be used for any instrument with LAN connectivity.
