DP832 LAN disabled

I just picked up a new DP832 PS and I don’t understand how people are able to remote into the power supply when the lan is disabled and apparently cannot be enabled without purchasing a license. I plugged it into my network and the status lights don’t even blink. There are no new devices on my network and the lan option is grayed out in the ps. Has Rigol stopped people from being able to remote access the ps or am I missing something?

I believe the Serial and LAN are optional extras on the DP832 and are included on the DP832A. Upgrades for your DP832 are available by purchasing licenses as you are aware, or by other means as described on page 18 in the thread linked below.
