So i have the DSLabs DSLogic Plus and i am getting on with it pretty well, think it is a really nice tool
But one thing has really got me confused and wondering if anyone can explain please.
Below are are three pictures
IMG_5553 is a photo of my i2c date stream I have triggered at (Address 0x5C )

IMG_5555 is photo of the DS labs DSView User Guide page 20 Figure 2-17
Few weeks ago I tried to setup a i2c address serial trigger in DSView 1.1.2 and used the example User Guide version 1.00 page 20 Figure 2-17 and it wouldn't work.
So i contacted DS labs support and they said to set it up as in photo IMG_5554 but never gave any explanation.
I followed their instructions and it works just fine.
I have however tried to trigger off other parts of the data stream but can't get it to work.
What does not make any sense is why I have to set the:
Start Flag as xxXF1X and not as in there manual xxXF1
Stop Flag as xxXR1X and not as in there manual xxXR1
Clock xxXRX and not as in there manual xxXR
Does anyone know what going on here please, why is everything shifted by one bit to the left?

Tried 8 bit and same none trigger result i am afraid.
Frankly this serial trigger setup feature documentation of the DSLogic is on a par with a Hantek scope I know off.
I think the only people that understand it are are the people that wrote DSView code and they a failing to convey the message to users how to use it.
I did send them an email month or so ago saying it would be much easier if you could setup the Serial Trigger parameters as follows:
Setup Serial Trigger on i2c SDA falling edge and do a Run to capture data/addr etc
Then search for the data/address you want to trigger off
Select the area of captured data with the mouse, right click, dropdown menu pops up, select Setup Serial Trigger from selection, Click. DONE!
Easy, hence i await DSView v1.1.3 with this feature added :-) Not hold breath.
I just down loaded PlueView but couldn't get it to work with my DSLogin Pro, so de-installed it.
Many thanks for the input, but i'll struggle by as this trigger on data/addr is a nice to have feature that i can work around by recording all and scroll through the capture.

I've been able to get PulseView working OK with my DSLogic Plus, but as far as I can tell it doesn't support serial decode triggering at all, or I've never seen the option. I've never used DreamSourceLab's software though so can't help with that.

Nice to hear you got PulseView running with a DSLogic, must say i didn't spend much time with it so maybe have another go when it goes version 1.0
DSView is a dream with DSLogic, really easy to use, setup and learn, the only issue i have is setting up the i2c Serial Trigger. Maybe someone will enlighten me :-)
I have a little Arduino project that reads a AM2320 i2c, then formats the values read, computes the dew point and sends it out over serial UART.
So with the DSLogic and DSView I can look and two protocols, trigger off either with a couple of clicks and have a 400mhz 27" Deep Storage Scope, see pics.
Really pleased with DSLogic and think is an excellent buy imk.
