DSView 1.3.0 - How to group channels into buss
« on: March 09, 2024, 09:47:28 pm »
The manual doesn't mention this AT ALL. I've tried clicking/dragging/chanting spells but nothing. What am I missing?? All I want is an 8-bit data buss and a 16-bit address showing the HEX values as my 8031 board runs BASIC from an EPROM.

I think you want to add a parallel protocol decoder w/ your data and clock lines assigned in the config for the decoder. DSView is a custom build of the sigrok software, so you can always look at their docs for general reference, too, although there are minor differences.

Thanks! That was the method. Sure would HELP if it was mentioned in the manual.  |O

Hi,

If you are working with DSLogic 16, you will have to divide its resource in half.
That is, the first 8 bits are allocated to the address, using the zero bit for triggering, and the remaining 8 bits for data.
You should follow the connection sequence - address/data bit size so as not to mislead yourself.
Just practice in demo mode.
