ZT-M1 looks very strange with some auto and some manual ranges.
-
waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy to much ranges ???
and the 1khz for what ?? the frequency response ?? we have meters up to 100khz now ...
the zt303 is more apealing to buy in my case

1kHz is for RMS converter in DTM0660
we have meters up to 100khz now ...
Keep in mind that typical DTM0660 based DMM cost is about $10-20, So it is great impruvement in basic meters world (IT KILLS 40 YEARS OLD DESIGNS LIKE DT-830 etc) ;)
The main intrigue is how exotic models can china buid around this chip?

Nobody cares, isnt it? :-//

ZT303 appears to be the same RM219/AN870 in another case.
My question about these DMM is:
Can they replace a Uni-T UT61E?
* Ignore protective factors, 99% of my bench use is with continuity and low DC voltages.
Have a good response time / continuity? (Main factor for my use in the bench)
Does the integrated TRMS converter have superior performance? (compared to the traditional AD737)
Not having trimpot adjustments, is it a good, bad, or indifferent factor?

+ 1
I have AN870 - quite good for my DIY use :)

Can they replace a Uni-T UT61E?- It is not so quick as UT61E
Have a good response time / continuity? - Yes, buzzer is fast
Does the integrated TRMS converter have superior performance? - it is ok up to 1kHz. It is voltage divider problem I mean
Not having trimpot adjustments, is it a good, bad, or indifferent factor? it is FAAAR better than trimpots :-+

With the number of divisions on the bargraph, I wonder if it is the same hack as the Surpeer AV4 - segments are grouped five by five and they update at the same rate as the measurement.
The range switch is indeed weird on the ZT-M1. At least the ZT-M0 (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Original-Manufacturer-ZOYI-ZT-M0-ZT-M1-ZT-X-True-RMS-Digital-Multimeter-AC-DC-Voltage/32910333453.html) seems to thorougly admit its manual range nature.
If it weren't for the price, I would love to compare them to the others I have here... (I can only have so much money to spend with my hobbies).

I agree. The UT-61E is a good meter, but the trimpots tend to be its Achilles' heel if the meter is submitted to abuse or wide temperature swings. That and the always lingering possibility of a simple ESD spark kill it (as tested by joeqsmith). Otherwise it is a great meter and had been serving me very well.

If you talk like that you sir will be the one disabled from this forum!

Why don't we see more of the DM1106EN based ones? It's newer and capable of more. Maybe china just has millions of the 0660's stockpiled
