they sent me the "Programming manual" SCPI and the their software and try to use it.

which i will do, but i am sure the problem will not be solved.

They still do not answer these two questions asked more times :

1) Ask you is there a software command to reset and / or set to factory default  ET5410 ?

2) Is there a program to update the firmware ? If yes please send it

I'm not satisfied at all at the moment,  I think that "the more you spend the less you spend"

I am thinking of buying electronic load of a better brand

As they seem to be talking to you at least, can you try to find out how to calibrate the ET5410?

I bought one recently and when it arrived, I tested it to make sure that it gave correct readings. Of course, it showed anything but correct readings! Mine displays 31.42V with a 30V input and no load.

They won't tell me how to calibrate it and thought that I should spend my own money shipping a heavy electronic load from Sweden to China to have it fixed! Great support for a brand new unit - send it back to us at your own expense! We don't care if the shipping is more than you paid for the device in the first place!

 :palm:

Tried to see how well the voltage accuracy were on my new ET5410 unit
Used these extremely cheap AD584 v-ref from CN that was like a couple of bucks.
with 2.5v and 5v and 7.5v and 10v.
alongside a USB potentiometer buck/boost board for other values with an adj. powerbank..
It would go from around 0.6v to 26v.

Nowhere near as bad as mine.

When I tested mine, I got the following results:

Applied V        Reported V    ET5410 Range
 1.006             1.102           Low
 5.010             5.024           Low
10.004            10.237           Low
15.001            15.124           Low
20.000            20.14            Low
10.004            10.84            High
15.001            15.51            High
20.000            20.74            High
24.998            25.82            High
29.998            31.42            High

Some of the readings are within spec, but others are way out.

The accuracy of ±(0.05% + 0.1%FS) claimed in the specifications would appear to be fantasy.

Curious:

Will also try-out lygteinfo's Testcontroller. (HKJ)

Hi Danelaw, Have you since been able to use East Tester's "LOAD" software?  I have it sorta working.  But I've just naively installed it, hacked around with COM settings and can now send and receive from the ET.  I've not installed anything additional, e.g. any National Instruments utililties (nor would I know how to).  I'm guessing their software is some canned executable generated by LabWindows(but have almost no familiarity with LabWindows).

i'm stumped at the point of getting the numerical data received from ET5410 to plot (i.e. Volts vs. Amp-hours) on their canned chart, aka "Figure", have you had any success?

I tried it yesterday.
on one of the laptops, I recall I still have NI Visa on.
It's a Win11 pro, but I'm pretty sure I'm doing something wrong, or it's not working fully..as the only thing I'm able to be more or less initialize it, and then I can turn on the load and turn off the load with the PC sw. by clicking down at the left bottom corner (with these 3 bars.. PC, Remote, CH1 on/off.) and jump between the different modes.

I don't seem to be able to put any values onto the device..if I hit that numerical numbers and hit enter or turn that dial.. it simply does not resonate with the device, even though they clearly are connected but could be something as simple as a setting I'm lacking.
I plugged in a USB3 cable. and choose the same 115200 baud as I recall were present from scratch on the unit.
Could be something fundamental / obvious, I am missing as a novice - or perhaps it's down to win11pro or I need to run it in some combability-mode or maybe there is a basic feature I haven't activated on the unit-
.
In this state it seems broken at my end, and not useable in this state if you cant put values onto the unit, but it's very likely that I'm doing something wrong.
but if you're able to send values to it, and the device adjusts to it on the display, then your way ahead of me..

It seems it gives an error "000execution error, possible cause: load is on". (which it ain't if it's referring to the red active load-dot)
It works fine choosing the different mode-settings, and the ET5410 display adjusts accordingly, but actually dialing in a given value by the 1-9 number + enter or using the big dial in the center' or some of the shortcuts ... it won't adjust to these values... I have tried to run the program in win7 combability and with admin rights.(it made no difference).

Took a brief look on Youtube to see if anybody demonstrating this ET54 "LOAD" software and its abilities, in the hope I could get an idea of how it should run, but nothing pops up..

// some screenshots of advance/extensive battery testing feature (with around 250 log-levels), though' seems to be only valid, if you choose 485-seriel in the connection settings (x' in the above 485 connection screenshot pic4)...though not relevant for me, as I'm only connected with USB, and then these top banner-options don't figure' when you initialize with USB-com.
- screenshot examples, if others perhaps would find it useful
