I just acquired a Rigol DS7014 scope, which I understand is hardware-wise, very similar to the 5000 series. The thread about the Rigol MSO5000 series discusses enabling options by editing the start.sh script, but my start.sh script does not appear to have the same structure as that of the MSO5000. Is it possible that things were changed in a later firmware version (mine is 01.06, and 01.07 is the current firmware available from Rigol)? In any case, if anyone has experience with the DS7000 series scopes, I'd appreciate your insight!
Thanks,
Stan

Current FW is v00.01.01.09.02.
And fullopt is not available anymore so you shouldn't go that way.

Thanks for the heads up! I don't see anything newer than 01.01.07 on rigolna.com. Is 01.01.09.02 available on another site?
If -fullopt doesn't work anymore, what does?

Stan

The easiest way is to "emulate" fullopt with an app patch. See the MSO5000 thread and adapt to this model.

So I upgraded my DS7014 to firmware version 00.01.01.09.02, and now I can no longer log on with Putty using SSH and Port 22. It says "Network error: Connection timed out" which I can only assume is a new "feature" of the firmware. I could easily log on with Putty before the upgrade. Am I out of luck now?

It's late here, so in my most recent post I may have jumped to a conclusion that is not valid.
Before the firmware upgrade I was used to just logging in with Putty and getting SSH access. I completely forgot about the special GEL file that is used to enable SSH access. I will try that GEL file in the morning and post the results.

I downloaded the MSO5000 Enable SSH GEL file, copied it into the root directory of a USB stick, changed the name to "DS7000Update.GEL" and used it to update my DS7014. The update failed (as warned about in the MSO5000 thread notes), but even so, I could not get SSH access to the scope. What am I doing wrong? Is there a different Enable SSH GEL file I should be using? Thanks!

I have a DS5074 and can't access ssh neither with this gel

@tv84 Thanks very much for all of the help you've given me in spite of my missteps. I tried the SSH enabler you just posted, and I still get a "Connection Refused" error when I try to connect through Putty.
The scope installs the SSH GEL, reboots, finds the LAN connection, and then refuses the connection. I've tried it several times with the same results. I'm running 00.01.01.09.02. Any other thoughts? Thanks!
