Well good luck and hope you dodge GST as I'm not usually that lucky.
Sorry you didn't chose to support the NZ agent.
PM sent.
Under the new legislation the collection of GST for values under $1000 is to be done by the seller, but they aren't obligated to if they do less than $60,000 worth of trade to New Zealand (which I'm pretty sure Saelig fall into, and indeed they aren't adding GST). If GST is not collected by the seller at the time of sale for a shipment worth under $1000 then it is not payable at all and it will go through customs just fine. Shipments $1000 and up will attract the usual customs charges. This only works for very small international sellers as all the big ones (Amazon, eBay, Aliexpress, etc) have added GST collection to their checkout process.
I've been doing this quite a bit since the law change and had no issues, as you'd expect as I'm 'exploiting' a de minimis threshold rather than gambling if something will get checked.
At the end of the day I'm not rich so if I can find a way to get a product cheaper, then the money is better off in my pocket that someone else's. Your prices are very competitive based on what's listed on your site so I may shop there, but 5 weeks is a long time to wait for a new toy (SDS1202X-E).
