How to repair a membrane keyboard?

My Finest 7130 multimeter is still going strong but its membrane keyboard is beginning to disintegrate. The top layer has become brittle and is cracking at the positions of the most often used buttons.



I have contacted Finest and they have no spares for this model. Is there any known method of repairing such keyboards?
