Anyone tried pure copper alligator clips like these:

I am afraid that there will be oxidation very soon rendering them useless or at least you have to clean them to have good contact. Other probes are usually nickel or gold plated to circumvent these problems.

Doesn't look pure copper to me. More like electroplated. I'd ask seller.
Also, not sure about oxidation problem, not about benefits of copper alligator clips. If resistance is a problem just use different type of connection.

Excatly as EXE says, if they are copper they will oxydize, and if you make some shorts they will degrade more, useless to me
The biggest problems with these are the somewhat ''badly crimped'' wires in them, poor contacts, i dismantle them and solder the wire properly.

The bad connection is my biggest problem on my old one, next to hardened PVC (ageing, exposure to sunlight?) on the clips that makes it impossible to open them.
Therefore I was looking for some better quality but I guess you simply have to sort them out after a few years.
Next new batch will be opened and soldered, will try to find "normal" clips without copper surface.
