I moved this item from another thread to keep items separated.
I tried in EZGPIB, to step through the a script using the STEP (F7/F8) commands.
EZGPIB steps (visible changes in the "Console Output"), but you can't see the position in your script (no jump to, no highlighing, different behavior as for breakpoints/F5).
Especially in complex/long sripts your are steadily in danger t o loose the overview.
Unfortunatel the developer of this great nice software, Ulrich Bangert, passed away in 2014 in the age of 59 (much, much to early).
Is this a normal behaviour, or is there a problem in my system/software setup?
Is anyone of the users of EZGPIB able to confirm or to report a different behaviour?

Update:
Got in contact with a close friend of Ulrich Bangert, who will try to keep Ulrichs projects alive as good as possible.
He confirmed the non-highlighting during stepping. He will try to dig into and to solve if possible.

I just found a work around for stepping through in EZGPIB:
When break point line is active it actually changes the color from Red to White.
So if you go and put break point on every line (F5), then you can keep hitting Run (F9) and the program will execute line by line, highlighting current line.

Checked your tip - yes it is a workaround, even it needs a breakpoint at each single line.
